its going to be another 3-4" taller yeah when i get this ohlins suspension sorted, but the tyre sneaks inbetween the cans with room to spare, its just a funny camera angle really to be honest.

I dont think they are going to quieten it down very much though....
those cans are off a 250

DR is the dogs mate! though i would keep the original beak as it annoys GS owners. Are you going to the meet at Bala? Check out my DR800 in the Gallery. I am doing a few bolt on bits & have forks etc for a swap. Forks wont be going on for a while due to funds & time though. I hope to have something between a rally bike & tourer when i finish though would love to build a zeta replica but i cant put luggage on that as its sacrilige!

Keep us all posted with pics wont you.

there are some pics in the suspension area of the range of custom shocks i have been developing. Also produced a new drop link arrangment that means people wont have to pay mega bucks for one. This has lifted the bike in total about 3" at the back and given it some much needed ground clearance.

I only realised the other day how soon the bala meet is! and the bike was in bits so a bit of a resurgance has taken place on the old effort front and the goal is to have it up and running for next sat.

ive got to

make up a custom link pipe - the twin cans have gone (for the minute) in favour of a lightweight titanium oval akrapovih i have scavved off an old zx6 track bike

the hydraulic clutch needs a custom mount cutting out of sheet

wiring loom needs to go on (ive forgotten how it went... but ill figure it out) and eer... then ive got to rewire that.. to take all the new generation switch gear, aprilia clocks... think thats it?

needs to get an mot then... :shhh:

Hi there, Nice to see you back in the fold as it were, When you had the s10 you were having a custom shock made, from old posts looks like you had the shock sorted with an old spring on it. Did you get any further than a 'one off'?

we changed it into one for the dr big, i can get made whatever you want though (within reason)

The one on the dr big is fandabadosie :) much more travel, damping adjustment from absolutely solid to nothing at all (50 clicks of adjustment) and fully rebuildable :)

I still havent changed the spring as to be honest, its very good as it is, i probably could do with sorting it properly, but seeing as i broke up with my partner last night... ive got to watch the pennies (damn mortgage on my own now lol)
